This is a very easy project made from wooden hearts, scrapbook paper, and ribbon.  Using scrapbook paper makes this a very versatile project that can have many different looks.

  • scrapbook paper  ( I used one that had several different patterns on the same sheet.)
  • wooden hearts
  • ribbon
  • glue
  • drill to make holes

Step 1.

Trace around wooden hearts and then cut them out.

Step 2.

Mix some white glue with a little water to make it easy to spread and then paint it onto the wooden hearts.  Take the paper hearts and attach them to the wooden hearts.

Step 3.

Drill holes in the hearts as shown.  You will need two at the top for the bow and one on each side to attach the hearts to each other.

Step 4.

Lay out your hearts in a line to get your pattern ready.

Step 5.

Tie all the hearts together knotting them at the back.  Then put the ribbon through the top holes as shown and tie a bow on each heart.

About Elaine Kazinec

I have never met anyone who can't make wonderful things for their homes, friends, and family, only those who think they can't. The purpose of this blog is to show everyone how really simple most projects for the home are to make. When my husband and I bought our first home we were short on cash so I learned to be long on creativity. I have been told that I can make something wonderful out of nothing and that is true. You can too! Some of my favorite things are items that I found in someone's junk pile. I am going to show you how easy it really is. I hope you find the courage to jump in and attempt some of these projects. You will be amazed at how talented you really are.
