Photo Pillow Project -An Easy Project for the Slightly Crafty.
(Will be posting a step by step how to guide as a regular post very soon; with images)
About the Author

I have never met anyone who can't make wonderful things for their homes, friends, and family, only those who think they can't. The purpose of this blog is to show everyone how really simple most projects for the home are to make. When my husband and I bought our first home we were short on cash so I learned to be long on creativity. I have been told that I can make something wonderful out of nothing and that is true. You can too! Some of my favorite things are items that I found in someone's junk pile. I am going to show you how easy it really is. I hope you find the courage to jump in and attempt some of these projects. You will be amazed at how talented you really are.
It is approximately 4 ft long, 1 1/2 ft wide and 6 ft tall. It’s very easy to put together and take apart and store.
Oh! I want to do this as Christmas garland!! What a fun idea.
This is really cute. Love the pumpkin face.
I’m sure I’ll be doing the same thing! Glad you liked it.
I have lot’s of fun things planned for Christmas!
That is freaking fabulous! I love the vintage look and the big ol happy smiling face. It’s both cute and creepy. Place it under a gentle light and I can see it being creepy. Sorta like the jack in the box sitting on a chair with just the moonlight as light.
That’s the fun of vintage and I love them too. I will put a vintage cat that I made on the web site soon.
That’s cute as Helloween!
Great idea!
I was going to follow the directions and make this but I got drunk instead. I did manager to stumble this though. http://www.wizeguyztees.com
It’s so easy you could probably make it drunk but it does involve a hot glue gun so maybe you better not. Your website looks like fun. I’m going to check it out.
Hey! While searching for Blogs about winter invitations I found your site Halloween Party Ideas | Not2Crafty.com. Thank you for the effort you have put in.
I LOVE your ideas! I might find a way to incorporate them into one of my posts.
Jamie Sues last blog post..Free Printable Halloween Decorations
I am really impressed with the detail of your instructions. Really great site.
Susans last blog post..What is it that stops us from knitting our wonderful baby knitting patterns?
Thanks Susan! I’m impressed with your book and am giving some serious thought to try knitting again.
Good post, I like your writing style! I’ve added http://not2crafty.com/ to my feed reader, and will be reading your posts from now on. Just a quick question – did you design your header image yourself, or have it done professionally? If you had it done by a professional, who was it?
Thanks! The design was from word press.
Hi! I wanted to ask if it is alright, if I link this post to an article I am writing on eHow about lemonade stands? This looks amazing!
Yes you certainly can. Thank you for visiting my site.
That’s a great idea! I’m going to try that one.
Bettys last blog post..Global Warming and other important things
Too hilarious! A wonderful idea
Hi Elaine. I’m just popping in to see the latest over here at Not 2 Crafty, and not only do I love the new projects, but the new look of your site is fantastic! I’m definitely showing this one to my mom (she’s doing a lot of remodelling to her house! Guess who’s helping?
).
I love this idea. I like the antique look and the ease of the project. But what I really like is the fact that you used something of sentimental value. Great idea!
bs last blog post..You’re a pretty cow!
I’m very sentimental, especially about things from my childhood. Those are the kinds of crafts that make your home really special.
I’m afraid I’ve been neglecting my crafts in order to get my garden ready but I finally finished today! More crafts are coming and maybe you’ll even see something you’d like to make for your mom. Mothers Day is coming!
We made ours from popcicle sticks. My 6 yr old was so excited to write everything with her fancy pen. Our markers won’t last much longer but it was fun to do with her.
Bettys last blog post..Stupid girl
hello!!!!
Thank you so much for posting this! I am just now leaning into the fabric side of art, (I’m a muralist), and I have been trying to figure out how to make these exact curtains for a while now!!!! What a great idea!!!!! Now I have a step by step process and I can finally finish my project
~(I have had fabric staring at me for a good 4 months now… haha). I do have a question about your curtains you have covering the bottom half of the window, I live in a new apartment complex and although I hate neighbors peering in while I work, I long to see the outside. I thought It would be a wonderful solution to my problem. May I ask where you got the supplies for that? And if you had any ideas
thanks!!! I love your site!!!
Sincerely,
Sheila Smith
Hi!
I’m having a blogwarming party on my blog and one of the activities is a scavenger hunt to encourage my readers to visit links in my blogroll. Since your blog is one of my own regular reads, of course, you’re in my blogroll.
I’d like to invite you to participate in the scavenger hunt – it could bring some traffic and new readers to your site, as well. Full details are in a blog post I buried in my blog at: http://adventuresofpamandfrank.blogspot.com/2008/06/scavenger-hunt-invitation.html
Thanks!

That is a great way and idea to make something new out of old products. Any way we can recycle is a good one, espescially when it results in something so creative.
I love to rescue old stuff and give it new life! It really bothers me that we live in such a disposable world today.
Hi! I finally got a chance to look at your site. I LOVE that tray. Does mom still have the wallpaper? I didn’t remember it until I saw it in the tray.
That is so cool. I’m impressed that when you put down the orange glitter for the face it does not mess up the whites of the eyes.
The secret is to let the glitter dry very well between changing colors.
That’s fun! I will have to try this with ground turkey
My grandkids love my rat meat loaf but didn’t care for the black creamed peas I made with it last year.
Ok, that’s really cute and looks darn simple to make. Could use that in our haunted cornmaze this year.. thanks

It is really easy and would be a great project to do with kids.
Wow, what a unique idea! Adding the photo is a clever thing to do in making fabric labels. Thank you so much!
Thanks for the great post. I can not wait to make this with the help of your instructions. My daughter will look great with this hat. I look forward to reading more posts from you in the future.

If you’re making it for her to wear I would use one of the softer canvas fabrics. They come in black and other colors if you don’t want to paint it. If you want the top of the hat to stand up straight just apply some medium to heavy weight fusible interfacing to each piece before you sew it together. (It also comes in black.) Make sure you measure her head and make the crown big enough to fit!
oh my gosh. What a great butt!
Finally you have a bigger butt then me! Love, your sister “It’s all about me”
Your butt’s not big. It’s just that your clothes are too small!
I work out. NOT!
I like this idea! A group of them would look awesome on a mantel for Halloween or Christmas if you made them in different sizes and themed colors.
You’ve started me thinking now… you could do something very similar around a glass votive candle holder and then put a battery operated tealight in it, that would be great for people with young kids around.
When decorating wine glasses, can you use acrylic paint, or does it have to be fabric?
You need to use glass paint. The frosted paint that I used comes in a spray can and is especially designed for glass.
ur ideas are amazin!!! thx keep posting…:)
Thanks! I’m just a big kid at heart and that’s where most of my ideas come from.
Love those cushions. I’m sure many people have scraps of fabric lying around and are wondering what to use them for. I’m going straight to my fabric stack now!
What a terrific project. Creativity often springs from difficult situations. I’m sure that the some of the most beautiful examples of early quilts arose from the woman of the house having to use what she had on hand. Thanks for going to the trouble of using the pictures with the text.
Lovely idea and not so difficult to make, thanks for sharing!
