Rustic Crafts – Twig Frame Unique – Easy Project

I wanted a unique frame for this special picture of my grandson and I so I decided to make one. This rustic frame costs nothing to make and is a great way to highlight a favorite photo.

  • Medium size twigs.
  • cardboard
  • glue
  • clamps
  • 5×7 photograph

Step1. Cut out a piece of cardboard stightly larger than the photo. Apply glue to the edges of picture and attach it to the piece of cardboard.

Step 2. Cut four twigs to put on the the edges of the photo. Make sure they are big enough to cover the cardboard all the way around. Fasten them with glue and clamp them down so they don’t slip. Let them dry completely before going on to the next step.

Step 3. Apply twigs to the corners of the frame attaching them with glue as shown in picture.

Step 4. Attach twigs to the corner pieces as shown in picture.

Step 5. Attach twine to top of frame to hang. I had two rose pine cones which I added to the corners but you could use any small pine cones or acorns etc…

About Elaine Kazinec

I have never met anyone who can't make wonderful things for their homes, friends, and family, only those who think they can't. The purpose of this blog is to show everyone how really simple most projects for the home are to make. When my husband and I bought our first home we were short on cash so I learned to be long on creativity. I have been told that I can make something wonderful out of nothing and that is true. You can too! Some of my favorite things are items that I found in someone's junk pile. I am going to show you how easy it really is. I hope you find the courage to jump in and attempt some of these projects. You will be amazed at how talented you really are.
