String of sunflowers made from canvas fabric.

This is an easy project that can be made several different ways.  You can make a string of them or glue several of them onto a stick.  It’s a fun way to decorate for summer.

  • canvas fabric
  • yellow and brown paint
  • string or twine
  • glue

Step 1.

Cut out two sunflowers for each flower you want to make.  Also cut out a circle for the center.

Step 2.

Paint the flowers yellow and the center circle brown.

Step 3.

Glue the two flower pieces together using hot glue.  Attach the circle in the center of the top piece.  If you want to make a garland, glue the flowers together using a piece of twine or string attaching each one with the hot glue.

To make this sunflower follow steps 1 -3 above but instead of attaching sunflowers to string, attach them to a stick as shown above.

Cut out leaves and then paint them.  Glue onto stick as shown.

About Elaine Kazinec

I have never met anyone who can't make wonderful things for their homes, friends, and family, only those who think they can't. The purpose of this blog is to show everyone how really simple most projects for the home are to make. When my husband and I bought our first home we were short on cash so I learned to be long on creativity. I have been told that I can make something wonderful out of nothing and that is true. You can too! Some of my favorite things are items that I found in someone's junk pile. I am going to show you how easy it really is. I hope you find the courage to jump in and attempt some of these projects. You will be amazed at how talented you really are.
