Easy to make baby gift

baby-blanket

This project makes a great gift for a baby shower and is really easy to make.  I made two receiving blankets and then folded one of them into the shape of a diaper.  I also made two t-shirts and rolled them up along with the second blanket and stuffed them into the diaper.

Materials:

  • 1 yard of flannel for each blanket
  • two baby t-shirts
  • two diaper pins
  • fusing paper

Step 1.

Cut your yard of flannel so that it is square.  Use the left over flannel to cut out bunnies.  Cut out bonding fabric and then press it on to the bunny as shown.  Peel off the paper.

Step 4.

Pull a piece of narrow ribbon through a darning needle.  Pull the ribbon through the flannel to make a bow around the rabbits neck as shown.   Tie a bow and then stitch it to the blanket so that it’s very secure and won’t come off.

About Elaine Kazinec

I have never met anyone who can't make wonderful things for their homes, friends, and family, only those who think they can't. The purpose of this blog is to show everyone how really simple most projects for the home are to make. When my husband and I bought our first home we were short on cash so I learned to be long on creativity. I have been told that I can make something wonderful out of nothing and that is true. You can too! Some of my favorite things are items that I found in someone's junk pile. I am going to show you how easy it really is. I hope you find the courage to jump in and attempt some of these projects. You will be amazed at how talented you really are.
