Hello, my name is Elaine Kazinec and this is my blog. The purpose of this blog is to show everyone how really simple most projects for the home are to make. When my husband and I bought our first home we were short on cash so I learned to be long on creativity. I have been told that I can make something wonderful out of nothing and that is true. You can too! Some of my favorite things are items that I found in someones junk pile. I am going to show you how easy it really is. I hope you find the courage to jump in and attempt some of these projects. You will be amazed at how talented you really are.
About the Author

I have never met anyone who can't make wonderful things for their homes, friends, and family, only those who think they can't. The purpose of this blog is to show everyone how really simple most projects for the home are to make. When my husband and I bought our first home we were short on cash so I learned to be long on creativity. I have been told that I can make something wonderful out of nothing and that is true. You can too! Some of my favorite things are items that I found in someone's junk pile. I am going to show you how easy it really is. I hope you find the courage to jump in and attempt some of these projects. You will be amazed at how talented you really are.
i enjoyed the tutorial! i also put this one up which makes a similar product, but it is a little bit different stylistically.
i’d love to hear what you think. i’ll bookmark this and come back to see what you have to say.

hey elaine!
i run a few websites for Home Buyer Publications. we are starting a monthly feature (in our print magazines) where we showcase how to make homemade decor. I posted a link to one of the projects on your Twig Frame post.
I’m thinking there may be some synergy here. We’ve got content that would be a natural fit for your site. Perhaps we could speak about a way to increase traffic mutually!
Have a wonderful holiday. I hope it’s as nice as your site (great work!)
oops! click on my name for the right link!
Hi! I like the way the frame is made. It gives it a whole different look and also gives me an idea that I’ll try out soon. Thanks for the input! Laney
That sounds great. I really appreciate the compliment but must give a lot of credit to my incredibly talented son who set up the blog for me and is patiently answering my daily computer questions. I’ll be happy to work with you if you can bear with me as I learn. I’m anxious to share ideas and to show people how easy it is to be crafty. You can contact me at my email address (laneyjane1@bellsouth.net) Thanks again for the input and encouragement! Laney
Elaine,
This is so cute and creative. I am definately going to have to do this next year. You are the most creative person I know.
Love,
Crystal
I must say mom, your creativity has blown me away. I guess it’s a lot easier to see just how creative you are when your ideas are published on the internet for everyone to see. Keep up the amazingly creative work and I can’t wait to see what you post next.

Hello webmaster Super arts about Bag Allowance
Thank you. This is may be nice indeed.
This was great!
Thanks for sharing this tutorial. It was easy to understand fun.
Thanks for your comments and for visiting my blog!
Thank you for the sharing. While reading, everything looked so simple to do, but the candle just blossomed with the scent of gratitude. The main material of your project is the love that warmth our worn environment. Thank you for the sharing of the light that awakens and heals all around
I believe that crafting is a great way to refresh your spirit and make your house a home at the same time. Thanks for your comments!
Maybe a bit off topic but ever tried to do something like snowboarding with cheap gear?
Fred,
I’m presuming that you are referring to cheap snowboarding gear, like back packs, warm clothing, etc… To answer your question, no I haven’t thought about doing any projects involving those, but thanks to you I will certainly consider looking into it. Thanks!
Hi Laney!!!!!
Finally got our new computer and some major problems fixed! I LOVE your site! I remember the fantastic job you did on your bedskirt with the buttons and all the other items when we visited a few years ago.
Missed you at Tucson! Hope to see you soon!
Tell “Maurice” hello and to keep the lantern burning!
Donna (foilhatlady)
Oh, forgot to remark. I really would love to see how you put that bathroom lighted “window” together. I absolutely loved it and would love to make one the same way!
Donna
I left you a few comments on your newest craft.
You have a fantastic site and your talent is too good not to share. So glad you are doing this. Would love to know how exactly you put that lighted bathroom “window” together. I remember that. It was novel and one of the neatest things I had seen.
Miss seeing you guys. Hope I can see you for a few hours anyway when you visit Georgia. Wish you could stay that Sat night as well.
Tell “Maurice” hello…love to hear more stories.
Say hi to John and everyone!
Donna
Hey Donna,
This is Ryan; I’m moderating moms blog until she gets her computers back in action. (Hit by lightning) I did want to tell you that I’ve started working on a new website for mom as well, it’s called spookycabin.com. We’ll be posting as much evidence as humanly possible, as time permits of course. It would be great to see all of you. We’ll talk to you soon.
Ryan
Ryan,
Good to hear from you! I would really love to see the new website “spookycabin” when you get it ready. Your mom has such a humorous way of dealing with her “visitors”, cracks me up!
That she does. The website is up and running it’s just not completed. Hope all is well.

How do I preserve the twigs to have a lasting memory?
Reis,
Unless your planning on hanging/placing the twig frame somewhere where it may come in contact with extreme moisture or other outside elements I don’t think it’s necessary to add anything to the twigs. However, if you want to go the extra mile I don’t see any reason why you couldn’t brush or spray on a wood preservative/weather proofer. Thompsons makes a spray can of weather proofer they sell at Wal-Mart for something like $6. Of course take out the glass and other surfaces before you apply it. Or you could apply it and let it dry before you glue the twigs onto the frame. Hope this helps. Thanks for visiting Not2Crafty.com

Hannah and Victoria,
Great video sweeties!
Love Aunt Cheryl
p.s. Could you darlings make a jar for me please?
I love it… I wish we had fireflies around here to catch… It is the wrong climate… The jars are very cute:)
Thank You! Until recently we lived in the wrong climate as well (CA). I really enjoy watching my grandkids have so much fun with the fire flies, just like I did as a child in Kansas. Thanks for your comment.
I reconize that face anywhere!!!! see you soon. Moving there in Oct. Would love to learn how to do all that wonderful crafting…
Love ya
Wow! You have outdone yourself mom. What a great post! I’m going to dig this one.
Love,
Ryan
Very creative idea… I can think of several ways to use the labels… Thank you for sharing:)
I really enjoy your blog, and appreciate your work.
I would like to give you an award.
Please stop by my blog and pick it up.
Thanks so much for sharing your talents.
Awesome idea, I think I will use this creation this year
Thanks! I hope you have as much fun with it as I do. Laney Kazinec
Great idea !
Just remember- these go inside the jacket, or inside the book cover, etc-
So that the labels can be seen by someone *finding* the item but NEVER by someone observing your child wearing or simply holding the item
That is an excellent point. Thanks for the comment.
I really love this idea… Instead of writing names on the tags of a garment, why not sew on a picture tag… So nice… Then kids won’t lose their things because it has their pictures on it…
